I'm originally from Northern New Jersey. I was born and raised in Joisey. Yes, I'm a Yankee! I grew up in Morris County, lived a few years in Somerset County and left from Hunterdon Country to move to Virginia. I've been living in Virginia since May of 1997.

I'm a mainframe COBOL programmer for a large health insurance company in Washington DC. Yes, I'm a dinosaur!! I've been in this career for 15 years and still enjoy it! I've been doing a lot of self study of HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, Java & Access database. I hope in the future to be able to build on my background to move on to become a web programmer.

I'm the mommy of a beautiful 12 year old girl. She's officially taller then her mother and points that out every chance she gets! She sure keeps me on my toes !!! She lives in New Jersey with her Dad. I do the Joisey road trip every other weekend to see her.

When I'm not working or with my daughter, I LOVE to surf the web and play on my PC. I'm hooked on learning new techy stuff. I'm officially an Internet Junkie ! I really like meeting new people in person after getting to know them on the net. Apparently I like to drive too, since I never seem to stay home anymore ! LOL ! I drive a '01 Ford F150 Lariat 4-wheel drive. YES I DRIVE A FORD & LOVE IT ! :Þ~~~~~

My latest and most passionate hobby (obsession) is my motorcycles & Land Speed Racing! I have a 1999 Harley-Davidson Sportster (XLH) 883 Hugger in Nugget Yellow. His name is HerBee. I bought him new in June of 1999. I took the beginner safety course & received my license in September of 1999. I took the Experienced Rider Course in June of 2000. I commute into DC on my bike every day unless it's icy. Now that I have my Gerbing electric gear I don't mind riding when it's cold!!! I love commuting on my bike because it totally changes my outlook of the day. There's nothing better then arriving at work with a smile on your face! I ride as much as possible & to date I've logged 75,000 miles on HerBee. To see pictures and learn more about my Sportster go to The Motorcycle Zone.

I also own a 2003 Buell Blast (1ABEE) which is my Land Speed Racing project bike. It's got around 2,500 miles on it. It's best track speed, bone stock, is 97MPH with me as the pilot.
The Blast is, well, a "Blast" so I bought a 2007 (3BEE) to use as my new commuter bike. It gets about 60mpg which is great with the high gas prices. This bike currently has 5k miles on it after 3 months of riding.

In addition to just riding, at night I work at the motorcycle shop that my husband Todd and I own & run called Twin Jugs Cycle Parts & Service in Fredericksburg, VA. It's a blast & I'm learning a ton of new stuff from wrenching to paying taxes (bleck)!

As I said above, we're also heavily involved in Land Speed Racing through the East Coast Timing Association in Maxton, NC with our bikes. To date my fastest speed is 153mph achieved on a Kawasaki 750 motorcycle in October 2006. I have the need, the need for speed! I'm looking for a faster ride, beg, borrow, barter - I have to feed the bug!
